Wedding season : wrapping up the spring!
Just about the time arrives to wrap up the wedding Spring season we want to say thank you to all the wonderful couples and families who have had open their arms to welcome us as part of one of the biggest days of their lives.
Starting this particular season, Nick and I couldn’t foresee what would be unfolded to us at the end. We are always thankful for the couples and families that entrust us to capture their wedding day. And this season have been full of unique moments that reminded us why we love what we do so much.
It was a month full of firsts; a month full of hard work, and a month full of love.
If I could send a letter to my past self a year ago would be something like this:
“Dear me, next spring wedding season will be one for the books! You will start by flying on a seaplane with the just married couple to arrive at their reception. You will witness a church full of people (who are not part of the wedding) on a standing ovation after the first kiss of the couple. Nick and you will cry when two high school sweethearts promise their love to each other in front of their families and friends. You will witness one of the most powerful ceremonies ever; one in which you will feel all the love and respect between the couple and their families. You will also witness the most emotional first looks… You will drive more than ever to get it all, but you will love every minute of it, because you are together. You will sleep in hotels with the most stunning views. You will be working at the same venue, two days in a row, and spending the night across the street. You will photograph an outdoor wedding on a stormy day, and you will survive and capture the amazing love the couple have for one another. But most of all, you will be very grateful to be the one that they entrusted to capture these moments, together with the love of your life. Trust yourself, breathe, enjoy, live in the moment, and capture those moments that will be remembered forever.”
Yup, after an epic season, we are ready to recharge, and definitely start all over again. This season make me fall even more in love with what we do, and I am thankful for it!
Wrapping up, recharging, and starting all over again!
Love,
Marjorie
